Radiothon is extremely important to 94.1FM as a community station. We are limited to the amount of revenue from sponsorship, but we have the same expenses as commercial radio stations. This is why we need Radiothons to assist mainly with capital expenditure such as updated equipment.

Radiothon is also important to keeping the station on-air by indicating to licensing authorities (ACMA) the demand for the station.

This year we are also appealing for "personal and business donations" which are fully tax deductible as 94.1FM is a fully registered charity.
