RADIOTHON 2026 is over and we say "Many Thanks" to all our Renewing and New Support Group members. Also to our Sponsors and Volunteers and congratulations to our Prize Winners.
Radiothon is capital expenditure for new equipment to provide our listeners with quality sound and reliable transmission.
Without Radiothon in today's world 94.1FM would not be "On-Air".
Our relocation to Mermaid Beach has proven to be highly successful in the upgrade of technical delivery and to also give us space for proposed Community Activities.
Once again Many Thanks as we close another extremely successful Radiothon.

Radiothon is extremely important to 94.1FM as a community station. We are limited to the amount of revenue from sponsorship, but we have the same expenses as commercial radio stations. This is why we need Radiothons to assist mainly with capital expenditure such as updated equipment.
Radiothon is also important to keeping the station on-air by indicating to licensing authorities (ACMA) the demand for the station.
94.1FM has relocated to Mermaid Beach Community Centre creating extra expenses of movement and equipment.
Management has been extra careful in controlling these costs however there is always a cost associated with any move, especially a Radio Station.
94.1FM's Office & Studios are located on Level 1 of the Mermaid Beach Community Centre.
The relocation from Bundall has been over a number of weeks with office and systems setup to accommodate administration, sales and membership enquiries.
A temporary ON-AIR Studio (Mermaid Studio 2) is installed and all programs will be broadcast from this studio until our main studio is transferred from Bundall.
This will become Mermaid Studio 1 and will require a total technical upgrade.
When completed Studio 1 will become our "Main ON-AIR Studio" and Studio 2 will be used for local news, shows and sponsorship production.
RADIOTHON 2026 has to be our biggest and best to assist with the cost of the relocation and studio upgrades. Our prizes this year are sensational and a great incentive to become a "Support Group Member", but the real reason for your donation is to keep 94.1FM as your radio station on the Gold Coast.
