Jonelle grew up in Wanganui NZ, but has called the Gold Coast home for a very long time, She went to Merrimac High School in Mermaid Waters and was a frequent visitor of Shooters Saloon Bar in Surfers back in the 90's, she still owns a bronzed keyring from the club!
Jonelle’s radio career started on Gold Coast at the tender at 11! Since leaving school she has worked in radio all over Australia in all shifts from Breakfast to Overnights. A career highlight was hosting her own National Night talk back show, co-hosted with Charles Wooley from 60 Minutes.
Jonelle’s voice is familiar to the coast having hosted her own Morning Show on Gold Coast Radio for over 10 years, and now Jonelle’s very latest radio chapter sees her in a new role with 94.1fm. Jonelle is excited to bring to life the new “Goldie Nights” show with text requests, community events and the best music of all time. Jonelle’s position will also include producing community segments and interviews.
A true Gold Coast local, Jonelle can often be found Sunday mornings walking Burleigh Hill singing James Blunt songs, while her daughter Ava is a crazed Beatle's fan.
